I started in restaurants as a teenager and never really left. I’ve worked every role, front-of-house, back-of-house, multi-unit management, even my own food concepts. I’ve always loved the energy, the food, and the people who make this industry what it is.

There’s nothing like the teamwork, the rush of a great service, or the quiet pride of creating something meaningful for your guests.

But I’ve also seen the other side.

Restaurants can quietly become 24/7 jobs that drain even the most passionate operators. I’ve lived that life — the long hours, the constant pressure, the feeling that the business can’t function unless you’re the one holding it together.

I’ve managed multi-million dollar operations, led franchise groups, built my own catering company, and even closed a restaurant.

I understand both the grind and the grief.
