Business Slower Than You'd Like?

Before you boost another post, make sure you're focusing on the right problem

Growth Is A System

When I was helping a franchisee open a new market, we did almost everything right from a marketing perspective.

We had promotions, community events, and plenty of opportunities to introduce people to the brand. The problem wasn’t getting people through the door, it was what happened next.

People who were excited enough to visit after an event weren’t always having an experience that made them want to come back. We were spending money to create awareness, but not always creating long-term growth.

That experience taught me an important lesson:

More marketing isn’t always the answer.

Sometimes the answer is understanding what’s happening inside the business first.

Growth Starts With Clarity

When sales slow down, it’s easy to feel pressure to try everything.

  • Social media

  • Discounts

  • Events

  • Networking

  • Advertising

The challenge is that every restaurant is different. Some need stronger community involvement. Some need better systems. Some need leadership development. Some need a more consistent guest experience.

The goal isn’t "do everything". It's to identify the opportunities that will create the greatest impact and execute them consistently.

Let's Figure Out What's Really Happening

If business is slower than you’d like, the answer may not be more marketing.

Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is step back, look at the entire picture, and identify what’s holding growth back.
